在英超轉會窗壓哨日有不少轉會發生，其中阿仙奴有買有賣，賣出的包括尼日利亞翼鋒伊禾比。由於教練艾美利並未對他作出上陣時間承諾，加上球隊中已經買入了尼古拉斯比比、而列斯尼爾遜等年青球員也已經被提拔至一隊，更已經在英超上陣，伊禾比決定離隊的決定不錯。作為阿仙奴史上賣出最高價的球員，愛華頓用了3500萬英鎊把他帶到葛迪遜公園。但是在英超第一輪愛華頓0比0水晶宮，他並未有上陣。日前伊和比接受愛華頓官方網站訪問，解釋為何決定離開阿仙奴。他表示，愛華頓提出的合約非常吸引，領隊告訴我陣容中會有位置，他們會好好照顧我。總而言之就是所有我希望聽到的，他給予了我勇氣，我相信自己能做得好。我已經準備好迎接新挑戰及在足球生涯中展開新一頁，在阿仙奴我經常被標籤為年青人，希望轉會後我能夠去除這標籤，並和愛華頓一起創造歷史，希望我能夠承擔多一些責任並為球隊做好。在轉會窗球隊買入不少有潛力的球員，他們十分有實力，包括和領隊一起共事已久的李察列臣。希望領隊能夠令這些有潛質的球員，包括我和摩斯堅恩，更加成才。
