Chapter 5: Spainsh Midfielder Jose Galán| The foreigners who played football in Hong Kong
夢想FC在港超期間給予不少年輕球員上陣機會，也引入了不少具實力的外援球員，最後落得「自降」的下場實在令人婉惜。今次我們邀請到在2017/18球季效力夢想FC的西班牙中場加倫。
We are very happy to invite Spanish midfield Jose Galán to share his story with us. He was playing for Dream fc in Hong Kong at the 2017/2018 season.

守拙問：為什麼你會來香港？
加倫答：我聽過很多關於香港的好事，尤其從我的前隊友兼朋友的洛迪古斯。我答應報價的真實原因是香港對我妻子來說也會是一個好地方，那是選擇香港的關鍵原因，而非其他地方，例如波利維亞或巴林。
守拙問：你享受住在香港嗎？
加倫答：我享受住在香港，說實在，我掛念香港。香港是一個令人好奇的地方去發掘。她是安全的、有效率的，全部事情都運作得完全的，加上是好玩的。你有一切你想要的：好餐廳、行山、廟宇、沙灘、城市、摩天大廈、公園、……，是一個我在世界裡喜歡地方其中之一。我掛念香港的空中輪廓和很多在香港能享受的事。
守拙問：你享受在香港踢球嗎？
加倫答：我當然享受。教練梁志榮是一個喜歡踢出一種足適合我風格發揮的足球，他喜歡在球場建立一種具吸引力和進取的足球。他的訓練課是很好，以及在球季的第一部分，我認為我們是聯賽中具令人驚喜和轟動的。我亦認為我踢了一個好球季，所以我對在那裡的表現感到滿意。
守拙問：你怎麼看香港足球？
加倫答：我認為是一個進步得很快的聯賽。在那裡待了數年的球員不斷告訴我聯賽水平在過去三至四年在不斷提升，而我親眼見証到，我認為聯賽外援水平是相當不錯。
守拙問：你對香港球迷有什麼看法？你掛念他們嗎？
加倫答：這是我認為這聯賽其中一方面要進步的。那裡的球迷不多，聯賽的熱誠和跟進是差勁的，Marketing應該要做得更好。從電視、從國家、從報紙……幫助推廣球賽是少的，相比起日本、南韓、印尼或泰國。不過我要說的是球迷雖然是很小，但是那很小的人是非常好的，對我來說是美好的，尤其是你(守拙真身😂😎，多謝提及)或 Ka Wai Lam，經常都是友善和非常支持我。
守拙問：離開香港以後，你去了什麼地方繼續職業生涯？
加倫答：在香港效力以後，我去過卡塔爾和沙地阿拉伯落班，現在則在加拿大效力，而球季進入完結階段。
守拙問：對比其他地方，你有感到香港有什麼是非常特別的嗎？
加倫答：老實說，是有的。我老婆和我都仍在不少朋友住在那裡，我們談論了關於美麗香港很多事物對我們來說是想念的，我們希望將來能夠再次回來。我們在香港玩得很快樂，我們探索了差不多香港的每一點和每個角落。我掛念拿著相機走進鬧市拍照，這是其中一個除了踢足球以外，在那裡我喜歡做的事。
守拙問：你在踢什麼球隊？你最近好嗎？
加倫答：我正在為Valour FC 踢加拿大超聯賽聯賽，我覺得與這家球會簽約是做了一個正確的決定。職員和全部人在這家球會工作的全部都很專業，而我的隊友水平也是很好。如果他們繼續這樣運作，我真的認為這個聯賽將會非常強大。我正在一個美麗的國家踢足球和居住。我喜歡我的城市溫尼柏和球隊的支持者，尤其The Trench(球隊打氣團團名)招待和十分歡迎我，我不能再奢求什麼，只有保持健康去繼續在這水平踢得更多。

Q:Why did you came to Hong Kong?
A:I had heard so many good things about Hong Kong. Specially from my friend and ex teammate Manuel bleda. But the fact that It would be a good country also for my wife( who works in finance) was they key because I accepted that offer instead or some others I ve got from countries like Bolivia or Bahrein.
Q: Did you enjoy living in Hong Kong ?
A:I enjoyed it and to be honest, I miss it. Hong Kong is an amazing country to discover. Its safe, its so efficient, everything works perfectly, and Its so much fan. You have everything you want: Nice restaurants, Hiking, temples, beach, city, skyscrapers, history, parks...It´s one of my favorites places in the world. I miss so much the skyline of HK, and so many things you can enjoy there.
Q: Did you enjoy playing football in Hong Kong ?
A:Yes, of course I did. Chi Wing is a coach who really likes a kind of football that fits for my style a lot. He likes building up from our field trying to play an attractive and offensive football. His trainings were really good, and for the first part of the season I think we were the surprise and sensation of the league. I think also I played a good season so I m happy with my performance overthere.
Q:What do you think about Hong Kong football?
A:I think its a league that is growing a lot. Players who are there for years keep telling me that the standard of the league has improved a lot in the last 3-4 years. And I saw it with my own eyes. I think the level of the foreigners of the league is pretty decent.
Q: What do you think about the fans in Hong Kong ? Do you miss them ?
A:Here its one of the things I consider the league must improve. There are not many supporters, the fever and the follow up of the league is poor. Marketing should be better: from TV, from the country, From newspapers... the assistance of the games comparing with other asian leagues like japanese, korean, indonesian or thai is low...
But One thing I have to say also is that the supporters are few, but those few are really good, and with me always had been amazing. Specially mention to you or to Ka Wa Lam who always have been very kind and supportive to me.
Q:Which places have you gone to continue your career ?
A:After playing in Hong Kong I ve played in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and currently in Canada where I m finishing the season now.
Q:Did you feel something that is very special about Hong Kong compare to the other places you played in ?
A:Yes, honestly I do. My wife and myself had a lot friends still living there, we talked about many things what we really miss from that beautiful country and We hope we can come back in a future.
We had so much fun in Hong Kong and we discovered almost every spot and visit almost every corner of the country. I miss also take my camera and just start to walk and take photos on the crowded streets overthere. It was one of my favourites plans overthere beside playing football.
Q:What team are you playing now or what kind of work are you doing right now ? How are you recently?
A:Right now I m playing in CPL ( Canadian Premier League) for Valour FC, and I think I took the right decision signing for this club. The people, the staff and everyone who works in this team is very professional and the level of my teammates is good as well. I really think this league will be really strong if they continue doing the things in this way. I'm playing and living in a beautiful country. I like my city, Winnipeg, and the supporters of the club, specially The Trench is treating me and welcoming me very good. So, I can not ask nothing else. Just health to keep playing in this level as much as I can.
