Best Real Madrid preseason in 24 years

Real Madrid had a fantastic preseason this year after winning all of their seven friendly matches,
scoring 27 goals and conceding only 5.
The team haven’t had such a successful preseason since the 1987/1988 campaign when Beenhakker’s team won the first seven of their twelve friendlies consecutively.

The Whites can’t just stop winning this season.
The team won all of their seven encounters in the US, Europe,
and China and go into the 2011/2012 campaign with a lot of confidence.
The last time the team achieved a similar statistic was in the 1987/1988 preseason when Beenhakker’s Real Madrid toured the Netherlands and Italy. The team won seven consecutive games (out of 12) but lost the eighth one to Sampdoria.
However, they scored more goals (36) and also conceded more (12).

During that season,
Beenhakker and his men went on to win the league with 62 points and break the record of the highest number of victories in La Liga (28).
Hugo Sanchez was the league’s pichichi with 29 strikes and the team also reached the semifinals of the Champions League but lost to PSV Eindhoven in the end.
