Manchester United Transfer: Real Madrid's Nuri Sahin Could Be Next
Nuri Sahin could become a dark horse in the summer transfer window. After all the good fortune Sir Alex and Manchester United have passed on to Real Madrid, it may be time to pay up.
By now, everyone knows that Manchester United is in serious need of new blood in the midfield. Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs may be playing their last season at Old Trafford, while Anderson and Park Ji-Sung could be on their way out. Not to mention Darren Fletcher has still not fully recovered from his bowel condition.
With Shinji Kagawa almost on his way to Old Trafford, with just personal terms left to be agreed upon, adding other midfielders to eventually replace the older ones is now becoming a necessity. With the transfer window set to open tomorrow, some rumors circling out there will become reality.
Which brings me to Real Madrid's Nuri Sahin. Some of Manchester United's best players have decided to leave Old Trafford to play for Los Blancos. David Beckham, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, and Cristiano Ronaldo all made the change.
The impact that these players made playing for United made losing them a real loss to Sir Alex's squad. The Red Devils are still feeling the loss of Ronaldo.
So, maybe it is high time for Real Madrid to pay back the good fortune that Manchester United have shown over the years and allow Nuri Sahin to make the switch to Old Trafford.
Nuri Sahin was the Bundesliga Player of the Season before making the move to Madrid, but with Khedira and Alonso ahead of him, he gets no playing time. Bayern Munich wants him but after leaving Borussia Dortmund, I doubt he would want to go to Dortmund's rivals.
Sahin would be a perfect fit in Manchester United. Tottenham's Luka Modric seems to be United's first choice, but if negotiations fall through, Sahin would be a wonderful addition.
Real Madrid do not need Sahin, Manchester United do. With Chelsea already spending almost £100 million and Manchester City looking to add to its team that has already bested United this season, Sir Alex needs to get multiple transfers to keep from falling behind.
