Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin has been signed for a season-long loan by the Gunners, according to various reports, after beating Liverpool for the deal which has been under negotiations since the La Liga champions’ coach Jose Mourinho announced he would release Sahin on a temporary agreement.
The 23-year old Turkish international, who made 10 appearances for Madrid after his 8 million pound ($12,598,400) transfer from Borussia Dortmund last season, will allegedly be paid a two million pound ($3,149,600) loan fee from Arsenal.
In 2011, Sahin scored six goals and recorded eight assists in 30 games when he was in Dortmund, contributing to the club’s league victory and being named Bundesliga Player of the Year.

It’s almost finally done now… Sahin is apparently on his way to London Colney for a medical. The ever reliable AFCAMDEN who brought you the Santi Cazorla deal confirmed it earlier on in the morning:
Just been informed that a deal has now been finalised & Nuri Sahin is now expected to report to the Arsenal training ground after 4pm.#AFC
If this isn’t enough, @DarrenArsenal1 (another extremely reliable tweeter) confirmed Sahin was doing his photoshoot:
Sahin has had his photoshoot at Colney this afternoon. Expect confirmation on website with story tomorrow #sahin #arsenal

Sahin Deal Agreed
Nuri Sahin will play at Arsenal for the rest of this season after his agent yesterday completed negotiations to secure his temporary departure from Real Madrid.
Reza Fazeli went to the Bernabeu at 11.30 local time yesterday morning to seal Sahin’s departure and an announcement about the loan move is expected later today. Arsenal will pay the whole of Sahin’s wages of 2.8million euro a year nett (around £40,000 a week after taxes have been deducted, so around £80,000 a week gross).
