The mum of a wonder teen snapped up by Manchester United has admitted: "I’d like to keep him home for another year."
Soccer hotshot Jimmy Dunne is on his way to the Premier League giants after being spotted at its Belfast academy.
And the 15-year-old Dundalk lad’s mum Sharon said: “He’s worked so hard for it.
“We’ve been kind of expecting it in one way for years. I’d like to have him for another year at least, but it is fantastic.
“It is a dream he has worked so hard for, and his father [Eamon], who has been driving him around the country since he was six or seven to play matches and to coaching sessions and coaching him as well.”
Jimmy, a centre-half, said: “It really is a dream come true.
“[Paul] McGrath would be a hero of mine. He is a very inspiring player.”
