Bayern Munich forward Arjen Robben could make a sensational return to the Premier League this summer alerting the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham reports the Sunday Mirror.
The 28-year-old Dutch international scored twice in an impressive 3-2 victory for the Netherlands over England at Wembley in midweek - a welcome relief from the criticism he has received during his time with the Bundesliga giants.
"It was great to play at Wembley and to see many people I know," said Robben. "It was only my second international game for Holland since the World Cup and it was great that this was in London at Wembley."
Robben, who had three hugely successful seasons in England with Chelsea, has just over one year to run on his existing Bayern contract, and could escape Germany this summer for a bargain £10million fee.
"I don’t have an ideal situation in Germany," he admitted. "I am now considering the options I have and I will get.
"I can try put up a brave face and make out all the things in Munich do not effect me, but of course it gets on my nerves and effects me. I just needed this game against England so much. It was a joy to be playing at my best again."
Robben was a massive success at Stamford Bridge before moving to Real Madrid, and then later switching to Bayern, and could well tempt Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger into an attempt to bring him to the Emirates Stadium this summer, as a foil for Gunners captain and international teammate Robin van Persie.
However, the Frenchman will likely face further competition for the winger's signature from north London rivals Tottenham - a move that would also see Robben link up with another compatriot Rafael Van der Vaart at White Hart Lane.
