Villas-Boas: Set to make changes
Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed that he will makes changes to his side for their Champions League opener against Bayer Leverkusen.
Villas-Boas has made a quietly impressive start to his Chelsea reign as they remain undefeated after four Premier League games.
Chelsea now kick-off their European campaign at Stamford Bridge, with German side Leverkusen arriving in West London.
And the Portuguese tactician has confirmed that he will be looking at altering things.
"You'll see some changes," said Villas-Boas, admitting he also has Sunday's trip to Manchester United in mind.
"Then we'll make wise decisions for Sunday.
"It is very tight. Most of the players were away with their countries last week, we played at Sunderland on Saturday and now we have this European match.
"We have only four days to recover for Old Trafford and this has to play a part in my team selection.
"Hopefully we will make the right choices to win this game and the players will also be up to the level on Sunday."
Didier Drogba and Ramires are already missing through injury and suspension, but it seems Villas-Boas could also give skipper John Terry, Frank Lampard and Nicolas Anelka the night off.
