Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is ready to give Danny Sturridge an extended first team run.
The People says the former Manchester City hitman has been kicking his heels in frustration after missing the opening three matches with a ban from his days at Bolton on loan.
But Villas-Boas has seen enough in training and pre-season to know Sturridge will be a starter – despite star-studded competition.
Chelsea snubbed several approaches for him during the transfer window and Villas-Boas will give him his chance on the right side of the attack at Sunderland in their next Premier League game on Saturday week.
